Cookie Policy
How VisaDocTranslation uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
This Cookie Policy explains how Quantum Cognition Ltd, trading as VisaDocTranslation, uses cookies and similar technologies on visadoctranslation.co.uk (the “Site”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to recognise your device and remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or whether you are signed in. Similar technologies — such as browser localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags — are covered by this Policy and are referred to collectively as “cookies” for simplicity.
Purpose of cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary: required to operate the Site, take payments securely, and prevent fraud. These cannot be turned off.
- Functionality: remember your preferences, such as your selected display currency.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. Set only with your consent.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services that we use to operate the Site. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies:
- Stripe sets cookies used for payment fraud prevention when you use a payment form. Stripe Cookie Policy
- Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager set cookies used to measure how visitors use the Site, loaded only after you grant consent. Google Cookies Policy
Use of pixels in emails
Some of the transactional emails we send (for example, order confirmations and delivery notifications) may contain small pixel images that let us know when an email has been opened. You can prevent this by setting your email client to display messages as plain text or to block remote images.
Managing cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Cookie banner: when you first visit the Site you can accept or reject non-essential cookies.
- Reset your choice: clear your browser's cookies and localStorage for visadoctranslation.co.uk and refresh the page; the banner will appear again.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies. See allaboutcookies.org for instructions specific to your browser.
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the Site, including the checkout flow.
Google Consent Mode v2
We use Google Consent Mode v2. Until you grant consent, analytics and advertising storage are denied by default, meaning Google's tags do not set identifying cookies. When you accept analytics cookies, the consent state is updated and Google Analytics begins recording usage data.
