Diploma and Transcript Translation into Danish

Degree certificates, transcripts, HEARs and school records translated into Danish in full, signed by a named professional translator and delivered by the next working day.

Diploma and transcript translation into Danish converts UK degree certificates, transcripts and school records into Danish for employers, professional bodies and schools in Denmark that work in Danish. VisaDocTranslation translates every grade, module title and stamp, and a named professional translator signs the translation with their full name, contact details and qualifications, at £41.99 per page.

One thing to know first: Denmark's official assessment of foreign qualifications accepts English-language documents without translation, and so do most residence permit schemes. Check with whoever has asked for Danish before ordering, and see the Danish certified translation overview for the service in general.

Do I need to translate my degree into Danish to have it assessed in Denmark?

No, if it's in English. The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science (Uddannelses- og Forskningsstyrelsen) accepts diplomas and transcripts in English, Norwegian, Swedish, German, French or Spanish without translation. Its assessment is free and states what your qualification corresponds to in Denmark.

That assessment is often the most useful thing you can show a Danish employer, because it answers the question of what a UK 2:1 actually is in Danish terms, and it costs you nothing. (We're aware of the irony of saying so on a translation page.)

Where a Danish translation of the documents themselves becomes useful is with bodies that work in Danish and want to read the detail: module titles, grades, credit values and the awarding institution's own wording.

When are diplomas and transcripts translated into Danish?

Common uses include applications to Danish-taught study programmes, authorisation in a regulated profession, public-sector and Danish-language employers, and school enrolment for children. These are common uses, not a list of bodies that have approved our translations.

Regulated professions are where requirements get most specific. Health professionals, for example, apply to the Danish Patient Safety Authority (Styrelsen for Patientsikkerhed), which publishes its own documentation rules; read them before ordering, because they may ask for documents in a particular form. Tell us the receiving body when you upload.

  • Applications to Danish-taught programmes through optagelse.dk
  • Authorisation in a regulated profession, such as health care or teaching
  • Public-sector jobs and employers that work in Danish
  • Enrolling a child at a Danish school with previous school reports
  • Further education, adult education and apprenticeships

Which UK academic documents can be translated into Danish?

Degree certificates, academic transcripts, Higher Education Achievement Reports (HEARs), diploma supplements, A level and GCSE certificates, Scottish qualification certificates, school reports and professional certificates. Each page is translated in full, including grades, seals and signatures.

UK transcripts are generous with abbreviations: module codes, credit values, classification bands and grading keys that make perfect sense to the registry that wrote them and to nobody else. We translate the lot, keeping module codes as they appear and translating titles and grading explanations so a Danish reader can follow them.

Classifications such as 'Upper Second Class Honours' are translated rather than converted. Deciding what a 2:1 equals in Denmark is the assessment authority's job, not the translator's.

Who signs a diploma translation into Danish?

A named professional translator signs it with their full name, contact details and qualifications, so the institution or employer can see who translated it and how to reach them.

Every translation is complete, checked against the original before delivery and produced to the ISO 17100 standard. Names, dates and institution names are reproduced exactly, so the translation lines up with your passport and the rest of your file.

If you're applying for a job at the same time, our pages on payslip and employment letter translation and police certificate translation cover the rest of a typical application.

How much does it cost to translate a transcript into Danish?

£41.99 per page, charged in pounds sterling and delivered by the next working day. There is no rush option, because a named translator reviews and signs every translation.

A degree certificate is usually one page; transcripts can run to several, and each page is priced separately. The price includes the translation, the translator's signature, a quality check and 2 free revisions. Upload everything on the online quote form, choose Denmark and you'll see the total before you pay.

Frequently Asked Questions About Diploma & Transcript Translation into Danish

Does the Danish qualification assessment need a translation?

Not for documents in English. The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science accepts diplomas and transcripts in English, Norwegian, Swedish, German, French or Spanish without translation.

Is a qualification assessment the same as a translation?

No. The assessment states what your qualification corresponds to in Denmark; a translation renders the documents themselves into Danish. Some people need one, some need both.

Do you convert UK grades into Danish grades?

No. Grades and classifications are translated as they appear. Comparing them with the Danish grading scale is a job for the receiving institution or the assessment authority.

Can you translate a Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR)?

Yes. HEARs and diploma supplements are translated in full, including module tables and grading explanations. Each page is priced separately.

Do Danish universities need my documents in Danish?

Programmes taught in English usually work with English documents, while Danish-taught programmes may ask for more. Check the admission requirements for your programme before ordering.

Who signs the translation?

A named professional translator, who signs with their full name, contact details and qualifications.

How long does it take?

By the next working day. There's no rush tier because a named translator signs every translation.

What if a module title is translated in a way I don't recognise?

Tell us by email or WhatsApp. Every document includes 2 free revisions, and the translator will look at it again.
